FS: Mid 70's Peugeot PX10 frame - price reduction

PRICE REDUCTION: $125 plus shipping.

Hi folks, I am trying to adhere to some sort of discipline in my acquisitions.... I am getting a '73 Raleigh RRA frame, so something has to give. Here it is, a 1975-ish Peugeot PX10 frame, 21" CTT. It's a bit unusual in the fact that it does have Nervex lugs, so the dating might be off just a bit, but it does have the post-74 decals. Decent condition original paint (multiple attempts at touching up by prior owner) and most of the decals, however our friend Gus Salmon provided the 531 decal and I am certain the head tube logo was replaced. It rides straight as far I can discern, no visible dings or dents. Asking $125 plus shipping costs.

Thanks for looking, let me know if you have questions. I also have some of the parts related to it, and will be putting those up on this forum as well...

Thanks,

Andy

Your date is probably correct - I've seen other PX-10s with black Nervex Pro headlugs and the '75-78 decal scheme. How steep are the angles on this one?

Cool bike and GLWTTS!

From my recollection this is smaller than a 21” center to top, the convention of the era.

considered one of these in a
‘21” ‘ as a training bike in 1975.
had a bigger head tube.

In doing some research on this (and I am by no means a Peugeot expert), I found some data that indicated these Nervex lugged PX10s in the 75-78 era were produced alongside the normal non-nervex lugged variants. They differed in terms of the lugs, and also the angles were a little steeper (75 degrees) and also the forks have much straighter bends than the normal variants. This one looks to have the steeper angles and straighter fork.

Center to top measurement is 21" on the nose. However, the center to center on the top tube is close to 22". I think the stretched out top tube results in a shorter head tube....

Wow. Over square for sure. The bike I evaluated for purchase long ago had a 54.5cm top tube.
the metal speaks, just needs a long torso rider or turn it into a flat bar warrior.
