It would be lovely if that article wasn't on The New York Times which requires you to subscribe, log in, and disable your ad blocker.

It required none of the above for me.

You might have to clear your nyt cookies if you exceeded the free article limit.

You can right-click on the link, download the article, read the copy you just made. I browse with lynx, which nytimes.com doesn't detect the accesses of.
