Hello from London (Ontario)
Hey All
I guess I should introduce myself to the forum:
My name is Mike. I am a 28 year old mechanical engineer working in R&D for a medical products company in London, Ontario, Canada.
I've recently gotten seriously into biking. As you can glean from my user name I used to compete in rowing. I'd been doing it for about 15 years non-stop (highschool, varsity in university, local clubs) and it was starting to get a bit stale so it was time for a change. Sold my boat and bought myself, and my wife, road bikes -- Cervelo Soloists for each of us. We're loving it so far. We wish it wasn't so darned flat around here but so be it...
Guess that'll do for now.

Cool nice to meet you. I used to live in Guelph ontario and competed in dragon boat racing. Welcome to the sport of riding...
I also worked at KP for a short time as a gaurd and of course in my younger years it was sometimes fun to visit too.

I just noticed in another thread that you are from Sarnia/London/Kingston. That's kinda funny...I grew up in Kingston, moved to Sarnia for a job, and moved to London for another job.

[FONT=Tahoma]slightly different circumstances, wasn't born in any of the three cities, lived in London for some years, moved to Kingston for one job, moved to Sarnia for another job.
In any case, welcome to Bikeforum.
I am guessing the Cervelo is your first bike? very nice, they are good bikes

The Cervelo is "sort of" my first bike. I had bikes as a kid (the stupid things we did in that gravel pit next door...), and I've been mountain biking recreationally for quite a long time. It is the first road bike I've had though. Planning on competing in triathlons starting next summer. Lucky for me the fitness from rowing seems to translate pretty well.
