1988 Eddy Merckx Corsa-Extra Team Hitachi
ST 56cm C2C
TT 56cm C2C
Columbus SLX
No dents but a few paint chips. The most prominent is on the drive side of the seat tube near the top. It shows up in the pics.
I am happy to photograph any part of the bike.
I have had this bike a number of years and have only ridden it once. If you have interest I would be happy to talk.
I can spend an hour or so typing the best description in the history of bike forums only to find out there is not any interest.
When spending a K+ on a bike I think it's best to have a phone conversation or at a minimum a private chat.
Pictures are a combination of mine and the PO's. My pics have the Rolls Saddle.
***It will not include the Speedplay pedals.

Beauty, but kind of an mix, huh? Looks like Super Record crankset with monoplaners and second gen C-Rec era RD? Is it Record or Chorus?

Ah, but there are mechanical considerations and there are aesthetic ones, no? Reasonable minds may differ, but personally, keep your chocolate out of my peanut butter when it comes to SR and the C-Rec stuff.

Agree with talking about a sale if it is above a certain $$$ level. As a buyer, I appreciate the chance to ask a question or two. Others may disagree.
On the mismatch -- If it came with Deltas, then a classy upgrade was needed, mission accomplished with the replacement.
Excellent bike. The Corsa Extra just rides like a dream in the 60 - 62cm frame.

Plus Frogbutter is a good man to buy from. Works hard to show what you are getting and packs a frame well.

The first generation Chorus is one of Campy's best performing friction setups although I have to confess to always using Simplex retofriction shifters rather than Campy. I much prefer the first generation Chorus crank to the SR crank because the Chorus crank was the first crank where Campy curved the crankarm to the outside rather than having it be straight. This provides a little more clearance away from the chain when in the smallest cog on the outside.

Also, yes I think the frame is sweet too.

If it would help the sale. I would be happy to reduce the price by $100.00 and keep the offensive but beautiful Campy SR pantographed crankset.
By the looks of what's selling on eBay you could match the crankset for that price.

Beautiful!!..... My size, but unfortunately not within my budget at this time, unless the offer that my possible next employer will be giving to me, hopefully in a few days, will turn out to be more than I expected. The bike would surely be a nice present to myself for landing the job!

****EDIT! I would also consider trade of a Fat Bike. Medium size frame. For the right trade, Trade+some cash.

Thanks!
I'm crossing my fingers and toes, as the work at the firm I'm in is slowing down again big time and it could just be a matter of time till they start sharpening up the chopping block and I could be next. I'm a bit sad going for another job after almost 10 years with them, but I need to take care of my family and myself first.

I want one in the worst way and you're close enough to be worth the trip, but it's a size small for me. Was bummed when I first viewed the ad. Beautiful bike and good luck with your sale.

Frankly at his asking price you just replace the bits you want replaced. That is a LOT of bike for the money (and unfortunately my size).
