Great video - well done! - and a great route.
I rode it N-S in November and really enjoyed it! I was self supported and did it a bit slower than you!

Loved it as well.
History is best shared by somebody who knows it and I enjoyed your sharing of that knowledge. Made this a very enjoyable video. You as well, have a great style, the humor comes through.
Thanks for putting this together and posting.

I'm new at this, never went to film school. Question: Is the music distracting??

Nicely done! Rode it a few years ago with friends. Not my favorite tour but no regrets.

Liked the video. I lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 10 years and grew to like the area and people quite a bit. Every area has it's own beauty and culture to be enjoyed. I even liked the image of the live oak, a spectacular tree, early in the video. In early colonial times, settlers from the interior freighted their goods, timber, furs, grain, whatever they produced, on rafts down 'Ole Man River to New Orleans to be sold for hard cash. The return trip to the interior was via steamboat as far as Narchez, then on foot on the Trace to the interior of the continent. The Trace in those days was beset with hywaymen looking to rob travelers. I expect you were able to avoid this problem.

Great video. I didn't have any trouble with the audio levels.
Thanks for taking the time to put it together. It appears you have a drone for some of the footage. A riding buddy of mine just got one for the same purposes. It is an interesting addition and certainly gives a perspective of the environment you don't get at "ground level".
Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your next adventure.
I caught you are from IL. I have a few thousand miles along the I&M and Wauponsee Glacial Trails. I never made it east of Joliet but ran out to around Ottawa and Stared Rock State Park (south side of the river).
One of the rides I wanted to do was to ride the I&M and Hennepin Canal Trails from one end of the state to the other.
I am not sure if the state has repaired the trail, but the section through Morris at Gebhard Woods park was closed due to a bridge collapse. Also, the section on the east side of Seneca had some wash-outs around the second year I was riding heavily. I ignored the closed trail sign at Old Stage once right after the wash-outs years ago and went "exploring". I was cruising along and almost got swallowed up by a ravine - I wasn't expecting a 7 foot deep crevasse cut through the mound where the trail was...
I remember riding along Old Stage in the summer time. That section of the river, and specifically the town of Seneca (Boondocks bar and grill on the south side of the river) is a "hot spot" for all things "loud motors" - motorcycles, cars, and... cigarette boats. I can remember the roar/drone of the big boats racing along the river. There is an island there just east of town before Old Stage and the I&M trail crossing (Barry Island) that is a regular "hang out" for yacht parties. I've rode past there with a string of 20-30 boats tied off to each other.
Back to Old Stage for a minute - I never liked riding on that road. It has a high population of motorcycle groups that go up and down it and, although motorcyclists are on 2 wheels (with the occasional trike or side car) I have found a large number of them out there less than considerate to 2 wheelers of the pedal variety. None the less, if I was out there it was to my benefit to keep to the road as it took more work to climb through the ravines with a bike and gear than it was worth. On the road I could keep moving. To that point - in the spring time I always found it interesting, and a bit eerie, that there were snakes all over the road. I saw them in other places also, but the amount of snakes along Old Stage was something on another level all its' own. They were all very small, for the most part, some up to 24" or so, but new hatches for the most part. They were just all over.
There is a lot of activity in all those small river towns around the 4th of July - festivals, live music, etc. Marseilles closes down the center of town and has a big party in the middle of it all. I rode through and snuck in to grab a hotog at one of their food trailers one time.

Well done, keep them coming.
One thing about the Natch that I didn't care for is the fact that there were so few services any where near the trail. Often it was quite a distance from the trail to find even food, learned quickly to stock up.
