Fuji Touring find
Found this 1984 Fuji touring series 3 on craigslist for a steal. All original, cosmetically challenged but perfect for my needs. A trip to my local bike shop for cables and bar tape, I spotted a nice Trek comfort bike with 700c wheels. $40 later and I had replacement wheels. Turned out perfect.

Nice find OP, I looked at one on ebay but decided not to pull the trigger based on the shipping charge being twice what the bike was going for. is that a 23" frame or a 22"?

Great find and a wonderfully good looking bike now ! I sold Fujis in the 80's and loved selling the Touring 3. Great solid bike that will last you for years.

We were a Fuji dealer then as well, and sold quite a few of the T3 models. Also sold a lot of the Miyata 610/15 and 1000. Surprisingly, the Touring V from Fuji didn't get much attention as it was about 750 bucks then, putting it out of reach for many. The T5 was quite a step up in aesthetics. If it had come with 700c wheels like the Miyata, I believe we would have sold more of them and taken sales away from the 1000.
I still have my 86 T5, but only display it.
Get some fenders! SKS Longboards are what rest on my T5.

Jealous! I’d love to find a nice vintage touring bike in my size at a reasonable price! I particularly like the Nishiki Cresta GT in blue/white trim, but would be stoked for any of the oldies...

It will be perfect with a pair of fenders. I'm riding a lot this winter, and I'm loving my fenders.
