Torelli 20th at last!
After a long search, I finally was able to get a great deal on a 20th anniversary Torelli. Bought from the original owner, it is just as purchased except the wheel set ( added by me). The PO told me that he was not a Campy fan, thus the full Dura Ace. It's exactly my size, the condition is phenomenal, and the price was killer. Tubing is Nemo.

Torelli is an American marketing brand. All the frames are contract manufactured.

weren't most of them built by Mondonaco?
at least that is what I was lead to believe from talking to the Sales Rep. my understanding is they were just Mondonaco’s plain Jane cousin.

My LBS used to sell Torelli's and I would occasionally stop by to ogle them, nice bikes.

That would be Mondonico. He was but one of the builders. Over the years Torelli have also been built by Cinelli, DeBernardi. Faggin and probably others. Given that Torelli Imports was the Masi importer for a while, there may also be some Masi adorned with Torelli decals.

The 20th bikes were all built by Mondonico, custom made to the buyer's specs.
I also have a Mondonico built Torelli Countach (pictured). Besides the pinned construction, the other giveaway is the serial # / underside of the BB shell.

Did Torelli go out of business? Their website isn't working and the last FB post was almost a year ago.

I checked the shop who was the nearest Torelli dealer and Torelli has been removed from their website. It was on there a few months ago. Looks like they're gone.

What on this frame was customed off of what we would consider 'standard' geometry??

Fixed. I'd go along with "bike" if it was Campy components. That said, and do not take that as a slight on the bike itself, it is absolutely stunning. I'm with the previous owner in using Dura-Ace, functionally.
