Austro Daimler A-D S
Hello Fellow Bicyclists,
I just came across a pristine, never ridden, all original austro daimler a-d s. The tires still have the rubber needle like excess sticking out from the middle of the tire thread. It was “gifted” to my two sons, but it’s such a beautiful antique bike I can’t imagine the lack of appreciation and abuse it would be subjected to.
Looking to determine the value of such a bicycle and how to go about selling it to someone that will truly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

We can't value it without pictures particularly of the drive side showing all the components. ADs had a number of different models and that will impact the price.
In selling it, craigslist is the easiest but the price will be lower than eBay. It is no easy thing to sell a bike on eBay though and there are pitfalls.

We will need some pics and a better description of the bike since this model was made for over a decade and varied a lot over the years. The current market for 70's and 80's road bikes is way down nicer mid level bikes from lesser known makers typically aren't going for more than $250-300 so you should really consider keeping the bike if it's the right size for your sons.

Unfortunately, I can’t post any pictures because I don’t have 10 posts. Do you have any other recommendations of getting pictures to you?

It's in remarkably good shape, but it's an entry level model. It has no collector value. In spite of how well preserved it is, its true value is as a bike to be ridden. I would guess it's worth about $100, maybe a bit more based on the condition. If your sons like it, I wouldn't have any concerns about letting them abuse it.
