I keep getting an ad for Rapha cargo bibs.

All I really need to carry on most rides is a key and my society card. Sometimes a phone. No orange. I can enjoy that when I get home.

Are there any less expensive choices than Rapha? I know my jerseys have pockets and that's an option too. But I prefer to carry small stuff on my legs vs my back.

I'm interested in this too. I know The Black Bibs makes a bib with pockets, but the they're on the back.

Many high end bibs have pockets, but most are "radio pockets" on the back.

LG Optimum bibs have a little thigh pocket, but the bibs leave much to be desired.

These Spexcell Cargo Bibs on AliExpress are well reviewed, and so cheap I'm thinking about ordering a pair right now.

Not sure how big of a pocket you want. These have a pocket on the side of the right leg. Tried these as a first set of bibs and I'm pretty happy with them. I'm sure it could stow a key and a card as it held a couple of gels easily.

I'll sell you my cannondale brand ones. Theyre great!! Super comfy, and the spandex mesh pockets are perfect for keys and a couple cards.

They ARE circa 2002 though. And come with a very flattering hole in the frontal crotch area

I wish more brands made bibs with pockets. I do get a kick out of rapha acting like pockets are some new technological marvel though.

I googled LG Optimum, and the first result was a Verizon store. I need to go get some coffee, I'm embarrassed how long it took me to figure that one out.

They're $40 at the house if anybody wants a pair. I bought skis from that site, it's legit. Based on "leaves much to be desired" I'm going to pass though.

They are $40 bibs. The pad is thin and soft, but they were comfortable for rides under 50 miles.

$100. Seeing what Rapha charges, I think this is still quite a bargain.

If lucky, the new owner will also be the recipient of a couple old granola bar wrappers in the pockets. And perhaps a slightly off, vague smell or two.

This is sounding like a fantastic deal. Do those granola wrappers have any sugar left on them by any chance?

How can you tell what type of hiker somebody is? Drop an M&M on the ground. A day hiker will walk by it, a backpacker will pick it up and eat it, a thu-hiker will eat it and then start scratching the ground looking for more.

Rainy Pass Repair ballparked it at $60 and a week. Said they're not really the best people for stretchy fabrics and recommended another place that's not answering the phone at the moment.

Makes the $40-50 ones sound like a better deal.

No, unfortunately. My dog actually chewed through the pocket on the right side to get the granola wrapper out. That one must have had the sugar in it

Christ these things really have seen better days. They're generally indoor trainer only apparel. One of my great pleasures at home is walking into the kitchen when my wife is in there and doing hip thrusts with the large, conspicuous hole.

Why do you need pockets for a key and a card? Just tuck them up a leg.

What if they fall out?

I lost my debit card a few months ago while riding. Had it in the same (jersey) pocket as my phone. Garmin said I had an important text so I stopped to check and didn't notice my card come out with the phone and fall to the ground. I only noticed when I got home. Took most of a week to get a replacement, and was a big hassle. My fault, of course, and I'm not repeating that error. But I'm also looking for ways to make my stupidity less likely to bite me in the ass.

Not the same solution, but here's what i use for all the above in a jersey pocket along with some cash and mini first aid kit
