Limit myself to 120 miles a week but increase the intensity of each ride.

Maintain about 50% of my regular annual kms, now that I'm a full-time parent and no regular job location to commute to. Back to normal in 2021....

Ride my first century
Ride at least 3000 miles
Do a metric century in 4 hours
Improve by a large margin my performance on the hills
Train hard enough on my fluid trainer over the winter so that during my first few group rides in the spring my friends comment

1. Ride 4,000 miles (75 miles/week)
2. Ride at least two centuries (I've done 7, but none in 2019).
3. Participate in one vacation event (away from home)… possibly Crater Lake Century, Bourbon Country Burn, Ride Virginia or something on Long Island that accompanies a visit to family
4. Loose 50+ pounds
5. Improve hills
6. Get back to a B+ pace

Same as every recent year. 5000 miles for the year. Never have made it, 4800 was the best a few years ago, this year 3915, missed it again.

For 2019, I set and achieved the goal of 5000 miles. This was more than twice what I’ve ever done in a year, so it seemed a year ago to be a stretch goal that I couldn’t reasonably expect to reach. From this experience, I learned to set ambitious cycling goals for myself.
This is what I have on deck for 2020:
1. 6000 total miles
2. DC to Columbus, OH fully-loaded bike tour (500 miles in 4-5 days)
3. Complete Super Randonnuer Series (The time limits for rando brevets are as follows: 200k-13.5 hours, 300k-20 hours, 400k-27 hours, 600k-40 hours)
4. No months under 300 miles (tough to do in the midwest)
5. Get down to 250 lbs (currently about 290)

Stay alive.
Stay healthy.
Ride more.
About a year and a half ago I had an unwelcome change of careers that brought about a big reduction in time available to ride. In 2018 I only managed 1700 miles. This year I only just made my fairly modest goal of 2000, with 800 of that on Zwift, and none of the charity rides that I like to do every year. So, in 2020 I just hope to do better than 2019: more than 2000 miles, as much as possible outdoors, and to at least ride the Tulsa Tough and Norman Conquest, maybe the Dam Jam and Tour de Meers (all Oklahoma rides).

Just ride. I recently purchased a used road bike (Litespeed) 10 years after selling my LeMond and moving from Florida to Tennessee. I still need to buy new pedals and shoes. I did two short rides over the weekend. Realized, shoes make a difference and hills hurt when you are out of shape.
At 46, I want to ride 1,000 miles in 2020.
Also, I have a goal to ride from Sugarlands Visitor Center in the GSMNP all the way to Clingmans Dome. about 4500 feet climbing, 17 miles one way.
Wish me luck!

Get my mileage back up. Best in 2005 with 7300 miles and 23 centuries that year.
But seems family members and bad habits have plagued my life over the last 3 years. Deaths, long 3 month hospital stays, $15,000 out of our pockets trying to help others who won't help themselves (wife's choice, I'd scratch them off the list if I had it my way). So hoping to get rid of the interference and get my mileage back up, FTR, 2 have died already. I don't get it, the need to party with abusive bad habits and take from others who actually try to take care of themselves.
Been consistent on the bike over the last 23 years with an average of 4,000 per year. So my goal is to lose the dead weight this year and get my mileage back up to 4,000 or so. And have a happier life!

That's only about 40 miles per week. After some medical issues in 2019 I'm looking at trying to get 4040 miles in for 2020 (a little under 80 miles per week). I've been doing about 70m/w in December, and live in Southern California, so it should be do-able.
I also want to do the San Luis Obispo-to-Los Angeles ride again (actually to Orange County on the south end of the L.A. region); take Amtrak up to SLO, then cycle back over 4-5 days. I last did it in 2012. Its a fun ride, especially if you travel light (credit card touring).

This is an interesting ride but it is worth looking into traffic patterns and find the right day and time. Much colder at the top, you'll get chilled on the descent no matter how much you sweated going up.

More of a hope than a resolution. I like supported tours where they carry your stuff and serve lots of good food I would like to do a few.

- Ride 1500 Miles
- Ride 50 Miles in one day (something I haven't done in 25 years and 60 lbs)
- Lose some of those 60 pounds
- Increase average speed (currently 14 mph)

Looking for my first double century in single day, and 5K+ miles for the year
