Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Upon incorporating some of your comments, I am re-posting my 2003 Litespeed Arenberg. I completed the Ritchey WCS set by replacing my 70mm stem with a 90mm, which is the longest I can use comfortably. I also centered the saddle over the seat post better and I adjusted the handlebars. I am curious to see how the wheels would look blacked out, so if there are any PS ninjas out there, can I get an assist? Thanks!

Hopefully you made the changes you've outlined to improve the fit of the bike rather than succumb to the often moronic comments in this thread.

70mm stem with a 90mm
Huge jump considering you have your seat far forward? How did it look like before this new fancy stem?

Don't sacrifice comfort for style. It's idiotic.

Super short stem with no setback seatpost. I'll go with not.

I like it, but you could dump the setback seatpost at this point, provided your saddle is more or less in the right spot for you in this setup.

Given the lack of logos on the frame, the wheels don't bother me. Go. Figure.

I didn't know 100mm qualified as a short stem?!?!

And set back post are a personal preference while riding. But I do under stand the opinions.

bad presentation of the bike. The shadows against the wall are distracting. Wheels that have a different color spoke like this, I like to see them staged so they are lined up. Not a DEAL breaker with a SUPER hot bike I guess, but I find it distracting. A picture taken below the top tube looking up is the worst way to present a bike and show it off IMO.

Sorry, Not.

The angle of this photo makes the stem look shorter

come on guys you are slacking. Everyone forgot about the spacers under the stem. The ***** stem is the wrong angle as well, IMO. The valve stems are not properly staged. and above all it is not all flat black and carbon.

Admittedly I succumbed to the moronic comments and it turned out the fit is good. I just did a quick 25mi and no fatigue, stress or pain anywhere. I'll probably need to go on a longer ride to be certain, but so far so good.

Try taking the photos within 30 min after sunrise, or 30 min before sunset. The lighting at that point is more dispersed and won't cast shadows like this.

Good looking bike though

I wouldn't ride a road bicycle with a stem shorter than 110mm if I can avoid it, especially if combined with a short reach handlebar, especially on a large frame. Road bicycles tend to handle and track better with more weight over the front wheel, and they tend to look better with a stem proportional to frame size.

I like this bike!
The rotation of the handle bars appear to be a bit high.
What is that on your spoke near your RD/pulley?
