I have seen a couple of yours listed including that sweet Miyata. I am thinking of trying to sell 3-4 more. They are probably be ones I will regret later. A Fuso, Centurion 'Miami Vice, RB-1 and a Pinarello.

I have five outstanding offers on that Miyata.

That was after two no shows, eighty likes on Facebook and me standing on a street corner for an hour in 90 degree heat looking like an idiot.

All for the privilege of losing money on a bike.

On the other hand, each of the other transactions were easy peasy.

I put up a poster at the Univ. of Mn.

btw Keeping the bike $$$$ under $500 seems to be super important.

@Thumpism
With that RALEIGH stay cap I'd guess one of the Raleigh USA bikes from the '80s with the proprietary 555 tubing. Some of them had chrome forks and fully chromed stays. Lots of bling came stock on 'em. I vote Grand Prix based on those brake calipers.

Shreck83 believes it's a Super Course. He says the bike was up last summer. Don't recall seeing it listed but he says he's away but if it's still around Sunday he will go and take a look. I'd like to see it as not sure what it is either.....

Vitus 979

https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/bi...143049286.html

1980's Vitus 979 - $425 (Loveland)

"This is a genuine Vitus 979 from the 80s. Complete with gold anodized tubing and a full Shimano 600 groupset. Recently replace tires and grip tape to breathe some life into it, and make it look good. Everything is in working order, I took it for a few rides recently and its as good as ever.

If you aren't familiar, this is a revolutionary bike for the time. One of the first aluminum bikes. It will give modern bikes a run for their money on weight, and unlike modern aluminum, this one was designed to be comfortable. The engineered flex allowed Sean Kelly to win the Green Jersey at the Tour de France 4 times across the dreaded cobble stones. Read more here:
https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/l...tus-979-194179

As stated before it has Shimano 600 group set, so 2x6 with down-tube shifters. The breaks have plenty of life on them. The tires have about 100 miles on them, so plenty of life left. The Vittoria Corsa wheels alone are $150 for the pair. Grip tape was replaced for the photos, keeping it looking clean. Chain has been cleaned and re-lubed recently and passed a stretch check.

I am about 5'9" and the bike fits comfortably. The ride is an old school race position, but I found it to be quite comfortable to just hang out on the drops. Very first time I took it for a ride on the bike path I passed a group of cyclists and one of the guys yelled out "nice Vitus!" This will turn heads in a good way, those that like shiny bikes and those that have been around a while who know cool bikes. There are a few stickers missing, but there are a few places I found online that sell replica sets if you wish to fully restore the factory fresh look.

Please email or text me. If you call, I'll think you are spam and send you to voice mail. My asking price is $425."

Shimano Hubs, 105 5500, only made for a couple of years.
These flange holes look very good...and price in my opinion is reasonable.
They're not mine, but I just built a wheel set with this model and I was impressed with the quality.

Nashbar Road LP Road / Race Bike 80's - $250 (Cambridge)

This bike has been sitting in storage for over 30 years and is in excellent condition. Very low mileage, original sprockets still look like new. It is a 12 speed with Suntour components and 700C wheels (both run true). Sharp looking bike and rides well.

Frame measurements are as follows:
Seat tube: 22.75", 57.8 CM
Horizontal bar: 22", 55.9 CM
Diagonal bar: 24.25", 61.6 CM

The only imperfections I can find on the bike are as follows:
Wheel is gouged up where it was hung up (see photo)
Grip tape is original and could be redone (see photo)

I'd probably be all over that if it was my size. Always on the lookout for a 60cm triple triangle.

BSA Roadster - $200 - Vancouver, British Columbia

Vintage BSA Roadster - $200 (Vancouver)

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...143860691.html

A very old English fixed gear roadster. The rear wheel is double sided (flip flop) so it can also be ridden with it's single speed freewheel. The front brake is a Resilion bolt on cantilever. The style is pre-WW2. There's some rust and there isn't much paint left on the frame, suggesting it's seen a lot of weather. The bearings have all been regreased, the brakes work and the front wheel has been replaced with a new alloy rim. It has a newer leather seat and an alloy seatpost. For an antique bike it's very ride-able.

Trek 730-ish with super record in milwaukee

This looks to be a 1981-82 Trek, maybe an upgraded 730? Either way pretty classy looking with super record and apparently shop serviced recently.

Raleigh Professional - Tall Frame - $600 (Norfolk)

Lightweight Raleigh Professional Bike with Carlton Race Proved frame. Campagnolo headset, crankset and derailleur. Stronglight crank.

I was told that this is a Professional when I bought it but bike does not have a sticker.

SN is A7310B found on bottom bracket. Since Raleigh does not have a great sn system I could not make heads nor tails out of this sn.

Wheels are Mavic and require glue on tires.

Seat is a leather Wrights Saddle Co. fron the UK.

Bike needs to be cleaned otherwise good shape.

58cm Guerciotti, Milwaukee, $500

https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik...143519614.html

I saw this bike today as I was purchasing a different bike from the owner. It's very nice..I'd give it a 7.5 to 8/10 for condition. No rust, no pitting. Chrome fork and chainstay. Not my size or I'd consider it.

edit: forgot to mention..lots of room bewtween the chainstays..looked like 32mm tires might fit fine

I could go look at this if someone was interested.

Austro Daimler frame and Performance Stationary - $125 (CHATHAM)

bicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: other
frame size: other
wheel size: other/unknown
I had intended on finishing out this frame and never did. This is vintage Reynolds 501 tube set as I bought this back in my racing days to build. It has never seen a component installed on it. It also comes with A Performance exerciser for a completed bicycle for training. Give me a call if interested. Thank you

It's actually Reynolds 531 and probably an Ultima frameset. A local guy had one in lavender when they were new. Very nice and a terrific price.
