Xtracycle LT2 U Tubes on newer Big Dummy?
After a bit of an Alien abduction, I am getting back to putting together the Big Dummy I picked up last year. I thought I would be rideing it last summer and bought a bunch of Xtracycle parts to put on it. I was assured that I would figure out how to get the LT2 U tubes to work on the newer Big Dummy , but the folks I bought the stuff from demurred as exactly how to to make them work together and which company's warranty to violate first. Any ideas?

Link to assembly pdf from this Extracycle web page.
Also on the above web page is this compatibility guide. It's a pdf.

They are listed as incompatible. I think I've got a solution that avoids drilling extra holes in the frame.

I drilled through both sides of the LT2 and tapped for 6mm. If I was doing it again I would find a set of Hooptie rails and do the same. The LT2 ends up narrower than the Hooptie I have mounted on top.

So what exactly is the fit issue? That the holes don’t line up before it hits the dummy foot rest in the frame (that’s what I read in a few places)? How far in from the end of the LT2 did you end up having to drill?

Rear holes line up with rack at maximum extension marks. Rear hole is oval, so need to drill all the way through to tap the far side. Front was spotted at same extension and drilled and tapped. High strength loc-tite was used on bolts. New hole is 3/8"? farther in on LT2

I just wanted to see how far in or out the u-tubes sit on your frame, if any of the holes show, etc. No need to disassemble.
