1984 Trek 610 Questions
I”m looking at a Trek 610 from ‘84. In reading the catalog from 1984 as found on vintage-trek.com, the main tubes, fork and stays are all Reynold’s 531CS. I saw a thread from a while back that said the ‘84 had 531CS main tubes, but 501 fork and stays.
I’m just curious, should I trust in the catalog’s specs?

531cs was something reynolds came up for Trek. The bike has a 531 main triangle and a reynolds chrome moly fork and stays. It's a really good bike. Buy it if the price is right and it fits. The bike will not disappoint.

I bought the 610
I bought the bike for $350 on eBay. It is 100% original, excluding tires, I’m guessing. Looks to be in very nice shape. Since I’m new to the forum, i don’t think I can post photos, but will at some point. I got it for when I go camping, primarily. Should be a fun bike to tool around camp grounds. Thanks for the input on the bike.

"REYNOLDS 531 CLUB SPORT transfer, a cycle
bearing this transfer has top seat and down tube
BUTTED in REYNOLDS 531 and head tube BUTTED
steerer, TAPER GAUGE forks, seatstays and
chainstays, manufactured from specially cold worked
chrome Molybdenum tubing. Designed for fast
sports and touring."
It doesn't say specifically 501, but it does say CrMo.
