14 years!....that's a good run for a Basset Hound. Barkley is currently 7....hope he can make it to double digits - he is a joy to have around.

My dog is pretty verbal so when he howls I tell him to "use your words!"

To a brown Papillon X Pomeranian named Mocha and a Sheltie X Pomeranian named Khan (Wrath of, Genghis, Icon)

“Hey frogger dogger wanna go outside?”
”What’s up pup?”
”You a hungry little frog?”
”Khan khan get in the house!”
”Mocha mocha mocha man”
”You a cute little doogie woggie?” This while scratching his ears and nuzzling nose to nose.
“Look at that little belly!”

Khan

A previous "family dog" was trained to stay on the linoleum and tile. So, his command was "Off the Carpet"... (a tail off the carpet seemed to count). Somehow he would also teleport from the front door to the back door without ever touching the carpet

Mom's current dog has the run of the house, with the exception of the upstairs... so his command is "Off the Stairs". Again, he is technically off the stairs as long as 2 feet are off the stairs.

Both of the dogs had a command "Go Around"... which often means to go outside from the front door to the back door. Again, with Mom's current dog, that can also mean go around just about anything from the dining room table to the free standing fireplace to the loop from the living room through her bedroom, through the bathroom, and into the kitchen, and back through the dining room and into the living room.

I got Parsley cat stairs and set them up by the bed where she likes to nap. Sometimes she'll jump up or down instead. Jumping down onto a hardwood floor can't be good for her joints, so I tell her to take the stairs.

At 5:20 AM “I’m not feeding you yet”

5:47 AM, “Zoey, STOP”, she’s knocking **** off the night stand

6:17 AM “Go away”

6:35 ish “Jeez, would you remove your claw from my face”.

Zoey gets fed on my wife’s weekday schedule, which is at 5:10 AM or so. She’s having trouble currently understanding weekends.

We have two fiends, I mean, cats.

Freddie is a 15 year old cat and while he's on medication he's still very strong, active, and gets into everything. He's also a complete mush and completely addicted to Temptation treats. He hears a lot of "who's my sweet prince?", and "how's my fierce fierceness?". All of his respect is aimed at my husband. It's hilarious how he puffs up his chest when his papa talks to him.

Lucy is an 8 female year old calico cat and is barely tame. She is quite in love with Freddie and tries giving him kisses. That's when the fighting starts and they will chase each other up and down the stairs. She's very affectionate and has the loudest purr I've ever heard but that purr will turn into growls quickly if I go near her perfectly round belly. "Lucyfur!" Is what I often call her. And "Lucy Goosey".

"You don't exist"

Or if you count roaches or the occasional mouse, "Die!"
