I would have bought that in a heartbeat as well. I have a hard time turning down quality vintage MTBs when they pop up.

I had one like that. Great bike. That color combo went for two years; iirc 86-87 or 87-88. One year had a rear U-brake (like the one I had); you got the good one.

Cool! I have the 88 model with the U brake. That's the 89 you have. Mine is also the tall frame.

Sweet Stumpy! Headset service is pretty straightforward. If you need to replace it due to pits in the bearing race, I like the Tange Levin for bang for the buck.

You never know if you are going to jump stumps or hop rocks, you can't be caught with the wrong bike for the job!

should I b able to get seals from my local dealer? They were reefed way to tight. Do I need a complete assembly? It looks similar to a canecreek seal...
