December photo contest

December's theme is tradition. In the northern hemisphere where most of us live, the nights have been getting long, the days short and cold; we're approaching the winter solstice when this trend will finally reverse. Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and Festivus mean spending time with loved ones, friends, and family, often involving travel. The end of another trip around the sun prompts most people to reflect on what's behind them and to anticipate what's ahead, this is a time that reminds people of the cycle. Give us a glimpse into your holiday tradition.

I get to go first, since I'm kicking this thing off. My birthday is Dec 21, I celebrate by spending time in a small mountain valley nearby. I coax friends and family to join me, and besides the usual shared meals and shared time, we ski together. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade; when it's cold and snowy, you go out and enjoy it.

My yearly Christmas photo with my buddy. It's all I got, but it does have bike related content.

Christmas day 2019.

I handed out matching polar fleece footy pajamas from www.snugasabug.com to my family on Christmas Eve and we all posed for a family portrait. I triggered the camera with an infrared remote.

Is the tip of the cat’s ear missing? Reminds me of TJ my likes to fight cat from many years ago. TJ had shredded ears from fights.

When a cat living on the street is captured, fixed and returned to the street its ear gets "tipped" so other agencies know it's been fixed.

Since it is just after Christmas, maybe a couple more days.

VOTE!! VOTE!! VOTE!!

Voting:
- Vote for your top 3
- No voting for yourself

And if you are the winner one month ... you're in charge the month after the next. For example ... if you win in January, you're in charge of March. If you win in April, you're in charge of June.
You pick the theme, you count the votes, you announce the new winner.
