Yes, MBB, has been on the forum since 2014 asking the members to evaluate his finds only to list many as "barn finds" after mentioning finding them at his local thrift shop.
I don't have a problem with bike flipping or flippers but would like folks to try to learn a bit about what they are buying and then to have the honesty when listing them on the bay or CL in an honest fashion...just check out the history of MBB for more information.
The same thing happened on this post....see posts 9, 13, 15.

Don't get me wrong, we all want to make a little profit on our finds, some more than others, but shading the truth is not alright in my book.
Best, Ben

I have one of those, actually my wife does, bought if for her new when we were dating. I’m surprised how good that tan bar tape looks, with that color scheme. Sick of replacing the white all the time, would never have thought of that color tape. Might just be the background, but I like it, thanks for posting.

I had a saddle the same tan color on it set up with sti. Tried to sell it for a year so I gave up and went back to 2x8 downtube with the ugly saddle you see on it now to sell it. Sold in two days this week.

Parts all look Chorus - 8 speed era to me with exception of FD which is older Super Record and the shifters are C Record friction. Hopefully the cable adjuster on the RD is just unthreaded and not broken. It's not needed anyway with the friction setup, but very hard to fix if broken inside the barrel. The coil RD outer cable is also Super Record era. You have $150 worth of parts there but IMO, that's not a big moneymaker on a flip. Serious corncob freewheel. Gonna have to time travel to 1975 to find someone to buy that one!
