A friend sent this to me. The article is written in such a way that I can't quote much without getting this sent to P&R. The title says everything you need to know.
Please take this seriously.
Snopes is calling this fake
Please, before you go off reposting someone else's garbage, please VERIFY! A simple, 3 minutes of your time, all you would have needed, to see this was a fake story, regurgitated over a over by the most lazy web "journalists" who probably sit at their PCs stuffing their face, grossly overweight, reeking of body oder, and probably believe 5G caused the coronavirus.
So, party over.

The irony is you're wrong, Snopes did no such thing. Snopes said she posted a hoax rant on her Facebook page, although it was written by someone else, that she later died, and that the gofundme page stated prior to her death that she had tested positive for CV, but that it was altered after the irony thing went viral.

Hello Pot, have you met Kettle?

You might actually want to read the Snopes article before you lecture people about taking time to verify before posting.

Could you please post the link to Snopes' debunking of this?

No, Snopes is saying this is factual. Here's the page discussing her, and others claiming that Coronavirus/Covid-19 are fake.
https://www.snopes.com/news/2020/04/...ndemic-a-hoax/
What were you saying about 3 minutes to fact check?

While we can’t say for certain that her death was related to COVID-19, an early update to her GoFundMe page did claim she had tested positive for the disease. In addition to multiple screenshots of this comment, we captured a cached version of this update via Google.

Yep. Guilty. I read the article too fast and assumed she penned the article, not shared it. I will punish myself with 10 all out 1/2 sprints.

I actually enjoyed that part. It just turned out a great label was misapplied.

For those that take the time to read it, here is what Fauci said this morning...

https://www.npr.org/2020/04/09/83066...y-tests-on-way

Bottom line, it ain't no hoax, and our distancing is showing results, and more testing is on the way, of a different form... antibodies.

Stanford has this up and running now, for their own medical personnel. Eventually we can all be tested, and know for sure whether we (might) have acquired immunity through exposure or asymptomatic infection.

My cynical prediction is the government, unfortunately, will use this to compel everyone in the country to give it a blood (and therefore DNA) sample, as a condition for obtaining a work permit or domestic passport/permit to travel.

I think if they get a good, safe, effective vaccine, it should be mandatory, like a measles vaccine, not optional, like a flu vaccine.

I have been (almost) totally ignoring media coverage of this pandemic and focusing on what experts have actually said and are saying. For example, here's a very helpful website:
https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america

This is the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, home of the famed "Murray Model" that the NIH, CDC and governments around the world are using to estimate the impact of Covid-19. Note that this model is predicated on social distancing in place through May. Still, it's painting a fairly optimistic picture, especially when compared to predictions just a couple of weeks ago. As recently as two weeks ago, this model was estimating between 100K and 200K deaths in the US. The number earlier this week was ~85K deaths. Note that this projection has rapidly improved since and the model is now predicting ~61K deaths. This is a terrible toll but still far better than we would have done without social distancing and shelter in place. Clearly, these drastic but needed measures are working in managing the pandemic.

The current situation reminds me of Y2K.
Experts: We better do something about the Y2K bug or stuff could get real.
Morons: It's all a scam to get us to spend money, nothings gonna happen yadda yadda yadda
Everybody Else: Well best heed the experts and spend some time and money fixing the problem

Y2K and nothing much happens
Morons: All that money was wasted, nothing happened.
Everybody Else: Well that was money well spent, nothing happened...

I wish it was Y2K, nobody actually died because of that.

I've gone so far down the rabbit hole that I've come out the other side, and its still as clear as mud.

My best guess is that this "plandemic" is quite destructive, I reckon its much worse than the virus, which may not even actually exist.

Its a sick joke, with deadly consequences.

" They want their back scatter radar transmitters on every block and they don't care if they screw everyone up doing it."

"Here is the main reason behind social distancing: Because the cell phone tracking is only accurate down to within about 10 feet and if too many people are within a certain area they can't tell who sold what to who or traded whatever or did whatever, nor can they "adequately" observe what is going on in a crowd by looking into it when people are too close. It is not about the spread of a virus, it is about making a system of monitoring people 100 percent effective."

Yeah but you got to give him some credit for at least admitting he was wrong, eh. How often does that happen on Bike Forums?

The Immunity Card.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, acknowledged Friday the federal government is considering issuing Americans certificates of immunity from the coronavirus, as the Trump administration works to better identify those who have been infected and restart the U.S. economy in the coming weeks.
https://www.politico.com/amp/news/20...scussed-178784

No doubt, if you have a card, it means a "free pass" to places that folks without a card can't go to... gee, how long before this becomes a "mark" or tattoo?

"Papers please...?"
