Imprex Bikes

Anyone ever heard of these bikes? There's a few for sale in my area and I'm curious about them. I can't find a single word or iota of information about them online. I'm guessing entry level stuff from overseas, but that's just speculation.

Search "Parkpre"
If you can't find anything your Google machine is definitely broken.

OK does the bike look like the one in the posted link the few Imprex branded bikes I have seen have been nicer 80's MTB's or fairly nice BMX bikes from the same time frame. Some details and pics would help what type of bike is it MTB, Road or BMX and what wheels size.

So, would this bike have been made by the same company that made Parkpre?

I'm just going on what I've googled. The first link referenced the ParkPre and the history of that company says Cozy was involved in many bike ventures. Where do you live? What are your plans for it? The bikes are nice all terrain and utility riders. Since these were pretty common bikes, I wouldn't pay a whole lot for it.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm in central Ontario, Canada. I plan to use it as just a basic rider. Some long distance trips. City paths, road shoulders, country roads, the occasional gravel road. Maybe laid back groomed trails.

The guy is asking $70 cash for it.

Well I bought it. It's very lightweight. From doing some digging online it seems to be made of 4130 Chromoly. Has aluminum rims and seatpost. Quick release front, back and seat. I'm looking very forward to getting it out on the road.

Here's some pics of the logos on it.

In case you are curious as to the actual manufacturer @T-Mar can likely idenitfy it if you are able to post or link to photos showing the frame details.

Most Formosan contract built product comes from either Merida or Giant.

If it really is a ParkPre product, I wouldn't be surprised if it originates from Fairly in Taiwan. Serial number?

Yes, that's the serial number format for Fairly of Taiwan. It indicates that the frame was manufactured in May of a year ending in a '1". Based on what appears to be Rapid Fire shift levers, as opposed to Rapid Fire Plus, it should be 1991. Fairly contract manufactured a number of different brands including, but not limited to, Centurion, Diamondback, GT, Jamis, Norco, Novara, ParkPre and Sekai.

Interesting. Thank you for the info.

So, is it a decent bike for $70 in your opinion?

The price Is very good price for decent hard frame with 700s and good components I would consider it a bargain for a somewhat unique bike with a bit of Canadian heritage. I would have no issues buying this bike for 2x the asking price it should make a very good basic rider well suited for what the OP wants.

I heard about such bicycles, but have not yet met. I have a FR5 2019 Felt bike that is part of the FR motorcycle series, I selected it using the review at https://biketestreviews.com/felt-fr5/. It has carbon pipes, which makes it versatile in terms of performance, speed and reliability.
