What's the SMALLEST Front Panniers on the market??
Any that are 4L per side or under?
Anyone know of a SMALL front pannier (8L or less)? I am a lightweight tour rider. In the past I've only used 16 Liter in the rear(total). It is a pretty small pannier. I was thinking of adding a VERY small pannier to the front rack. I've looked with no luck. I know Nashbar makes a 10L bag which perhaps, I could reconfigure; but I'd rather find a smaller pannier.

The Trek 720 comes with dry bags that mount in a knockoff version of Salsa's Anything Cage. Would something like that work or does it have to have the usual hooks and spring mounting method?

In all seriousness, I use a Revelate Designs harness and dry bag on the front. No need for a traditional pannier.

OP: Would be worth googling around to find people who tour with small wheeled bikes: Moulton, Birdy, etc.
Panniers which work with these bikes must (by definition) be small. And I've definitely seen pictures of these models carrying front panniers.
In fact I even have a front pannier rack for my Moulton SST... just I've never thought to source panniers for it to date.

The right size. Looks like about 6L each.
Thanks @jonc123. Those Nanos are about right. My front rack however does not go over the tire, so I would need another rack or perhaps rig these strap on each side. All Bikeforums help appreciated.

@Darth_Firebolt the Trek 720 has an interesting rack on the fork. The rack I think I might use is the Axiom Journey Suspension. So, yes I think the tradition hook on, but perhaps there's a better way.

Just tossing another option out there, is there a specific need for front panniers? If not, you can easily find a handlebar bag or saddlebag in the 6-8L size if you just need a bit extra room.

While not exactly a pannier, Salsa makes the 4.5 liter Anything bag which attaches to your fork with the Anything Cage HD. About 1.5 lbs for a pair which is 1/2 the weight of my rack ad front rollers.

I recently picked up a used pair of Blackburn Outpost Cargo Cages at a swap meet. My front forks do not have the two-bolt water bottle cage mounts, but have the mid-fork mounts for low rider racks. I was thinking of using a P clip for one of the two bolts needed for that cage to hold the cage against the fork blade so it does not swing around and the mid-fork mount for the other bolt. And a 5 liter drybag on each side.
I have no trips planned at this time, have not yet tried it yet. But, you might consider something like that too. It would be simpler, lighter and cheaper than racks and panniers.

I have thought of the handlebar bag and perhaps may go that way. The Salsa Anything bag which are sort of like the Blackburn Outpost Cargo Cages are all options that may work. While I don't actually have to have the front panniers I was thinking that spreading my weight(albeit now more) and having the ability to carry just a few more things might make the camping more comfortable. Plus towards the end of each day's tour ride I am always looking for a place to put a few brews and dinner stuff.

A large handlebar bag seems to me to be the lightest option. And no front rack to deal with.
Are you already using a bar bag?
And then fork dry bag mount things seem right also for your priorities, weight specifically.
