Ritchey Adjustable Stem has PLASTIC FACE?
Ritchey Adjustable Stem has PLASTIC FACE? No offence but how is this quality ? I can't see how this works with better quality handle bars ??? Does it move being plastic ???

That's odd. The fixed Ritchey stem I bought is all aluminum. I used the 2 straps from the stock Bontrager stem to mount the handlebar because I didn't like the Ritchey logo on the front.

AFAIK, there is not and never would have been a plastic part on a Ritchey 4-Axis adjustable stem, or any Ritchey stem for that matter. By "face" did you mean 'face plate'?
Where on earth did you (op) see this? Link?

I don't know about the one screw adjustable Ritchey stems so I can speak to those. I've got the 4 axis adjustable and it is all aluminum and a quality product. It rivals one piece stems in terms of no creaky sounds and not flexing under torque.

It appears I got a plastic one. It looks like a cheap imitation : Bought Thru Amazon and definitely not a stem you could even use : The main body feels hollow> Either a scam or someone sent me a display item. Not for use. No Packaging or Instructions . Just thrown in a box with bubble wrap: Sent it back for refund and re-ordered direct from Ritchey Yesterday

Who was the vendor selling through Amazon? The Ritchey stem I bought was sold by Bicycle Addiction and seems to be legit. At least it's very well made and all aluminum.

That's who Mine came from : Same place : There was no packaging No manual etc. Came in a Box that was 12x12 x12 . The wrapping looked factory : So I'm assuming I got some prototype used for pictures or something > It's not even functional > The bolts looked real at first but were just molded : My comment in the return was This isn't a Real stem: Better check it and don't re-sell . It's just plastic.

Mine must have been a molded sample : Or some worker messing around Shipping these to get a rise : Who knows : Wasn't thinking I'd get one for Free

Glad to hear they made things right. Hope the new stem makes as much a difference for you as mine did for me. Really enjoying my DS.
