What do you know about this make of steel Belgian bike?
I seek input from this forum about my steel 531 Reynolds, Campagnolo Record, ”The Dura” bike. Purchased by me in 1972, in Los Angeles California, USA from Hans Ohrt bike shop. This mark appears uniquely unknown by aficionados that I have spoken to. Has ARAYA rims with old style hubs. A rich three color paint job plus gold pin stripping. I particularly would like to find a new badge for my upcoming paint job and general restoration. I welcome you opinion.

Head badge looks to be adhesively held.
Run a piece of dental floss between the badge and the tube to saw to sever the adhesive layer. Use tension against the tube to keep the floss in the proper shape. Sometimes a little heat helps soften the old adhesive.
"Hans Ort" is a familiar name to me but I cannot recall from where. Can you tell us more about the shop or the man?

Very nice! Great to see another one surface after @dddd's.
Belgian racing bikes were generally sold with tubular rims and tires, rather than clinchers, so those wheels could well be a later addition. Especially if they are 27". Maybe by the importer or the dealer?

Hans Ohrt started his shop in Beverly Hills (Los Angekes, Calif.) Another shop was opened in West Los Angekes by an associate, and this is where I bought my bike. It was among the first quality bike shop there, if not the first.

Thanks, I may have replaced the rims early on, but can’t remember. I recall that the first tires were clinchers, however. I do have The French brand glue-on rims labeled (Super Champion - “Competition” model (no size on label. They are 1975 vintage. You have me thinking positively about using these wheels. The set I’m using on the bike now are ARAYA Japan 700C (14X622) these are also about 1975 vintage or earlier.

I just did a little digging into the brands that appear in mr Declercq's letterhead. Found some interesting results. According to this and this entry in headbadge collector Otto Beaujon's blog, mr Declercq was the business manager of the Belgian Bertin operation. Hence the appearance of the Bertin brand name as well.

Private labeled cycles.
Thanks very much for this interesting information. This explains why this bike label is relatively unknown. But what does IIRC mean?

Another link between Bertin and The Dura is that The Dura was one of the sponsors of the Bertin cycling team, managed by André Bertin:

It'd be a darn shame to paint that lovely old thing, IMO*
