May 7, 2011, Vancouver, WA: Ride Around Clark County

Vancouver Bicycle Club's annual ride through urban and rural Clark County, Washington, with 4 loops to choose from. Rest rooms and food stops are on all loops. Mechanical and SAG support throughout.

(All rides begin and end at Clark College, just north of the I-5 bridge to Portland.)

18-MILE LOOP: Mostly flat, east through Cascade Park and back.

34-MILE LOOP: Small hills, east around Lacamas Lake and back. (1,000 ft. elevation gain)

65-MILE LOOP: Small climbs heading east, around Lacamas Lake, then north through rollers around Hockinson, through Battle Ground, to Daybreak Park, west through Ridgefield, then south through Felida and finish at Clark College. (3,000 ft. elevation gain.)

100-MILE LOOP: Small climbs heading east, around Lacamas Lake, then north through the Hockinson hills to Battle Ground, continuing north to Yacolt & Amboy, on the foothills of Mt. St. Helens. Riders then head west through the scenic Cedar Creek / Lewis River area, and south through La Center to Daybreak Park. Riders proceed west toward Ridgefield, then south through Felida and finish at Clark College. (4,800 ft. elevation gain.) A great early-season century.
