Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't like the bite and acid, which is why I'm such a fan. My favorite is when I use the French Press, which seems to make it a bolder cup of coffee. That Brazil does have more of the bite you may prefer, but it's still a smooth cup.

You're allowed to have spacers above the stem, as long is it isn't silly.

well, that helps because you have street cred. I agree. I think a little up top might be ok. If it helps my fit on the bike that really is all that matters. I'll post pics if/when it happens. Derision be damned.

I went ahead and had my LBS cut the steerer on the Canyon, since there was a whole inch of spacers on top of the stem and it's NOT the bike with the biggest drop.

I appreciate the recommendation. it is definitely smooth (which i am still processing because I kind of like that) and by no means is it weak or mild. I also like supporting the Monks mission.

I just went on their website(Mystic Monks)and I have to give them credit. They are trying to make a smooth cup and they most certainly have accomplished that. Go Monks.

Canyon provides 37.5mm of spacers, so even that inch left a fair stack.

Another ride on tap soon. But looks like Bah Humbug has the top spot for the week already. I can only hope to stay on the podium.

I was going to shoot for a 300-mile week before taking tomorrow off (and a few fake mile days during the cold snap), but there's a wind advisory. I'll go out, but just lap the Veloway until I go home.

29 seconds.

They did not one but two videos on this. Couldn't they find a proper route?

I'm going to try and schedule two rides per week. Serms to be the only way I'll manage it, for the foreseeable future, anyway. Sunday is a given, because, Sunday. In the US I rode Sundays for less traffic. Here, we actually have more traffic because most folks commute on public transport and go visiting on Sundays. But. There are no work trucks out on Sunday, so at least that segment of harrassment is removed.
I pushed a plane for more than four hours yesterday, and my shoulder feels it today. I enjoyed every second of it. The new hoped for finish of the work bench project is two weeks hence. I think it's realistic.
At the moment I'm waiting for the fog to clear

Making up 29 seconds at that speed and at that distance is huge. An eternity huge.
