I’m in a serious junk food period. All I want right now is firing up the grill (charred wood) and throw a piece of prime rib eye on it.

My will power is like a light switch - I can either not eat something AT ALL, or eat too much of it. That's why I practice all my will power in shopping rather than at home. If there are donuts in the house, I can't NOT eat my share. I envy people who can eat A donut.
Ford, apparently. That's what The Internet told me, anyway.

I was a baker for a bit, and it was a good and bad thing. I worked graveyards, which was excellent for bike riding, but horrible for the social aspect of life. A real raised donut, straight from the fryer dipped in chocolate, is heaven. Those Krispy Kreme things are just sugar.

edit: hmmm - their website doesn't list an MOA location (google says it's open), but there is a location in the eastern 'burbs; I generally try to avoid that soulless area, but the next time I'm passing through, maybe...

I'm more worried about my parents. They're in their 70s and my dad, in particular, doesn't seem concerned about the virus at all. He won't wear a mask unless he has to.

I hear that that Spoke and Art place, along the Cap, a little north of the Jamestown settlement, is finally up and running - I've ridden by there for years wondering when that damn place would open. Have you stopped in?

Got invited to another long-ish hilly ride tomorrow, even though I wussed out on the last one. This time there will be a guy I sometimes don't like to ride with. He's a little climber and always in a hurry. He hates to stop and gets antsy when people need to stop. Worse, when he gets in a beef with a car driver he flips them off and yells.
Decisions. I'm not good at them.

My philosophy is that if you're asking for it (hard knocks) you should get it, and don't expect any sympathy from me.

I hope that they don't put those straight in to the styrofoam.
Ugh, man, now I can't remember which place did it, but there was a restaurant that would pull food out of the fryer and put them straight in to a styrofoam container. The first time it happened, it melted a hole through the container and I vowed to never get hot stuff there again... but then I forgot and it happened a second time. Now that I've forgotten again, I'm going to be pissed if I make the mistake a third time.
edit: that's right - it was Tamarack in WV! We always stop there for food and a bathroom break when we pass through on the way to VA. The first time it was fries and the next time it was a grilled cheese sandwich for my son. Ick.
