Air suspension fork questions

Hi,

I have an air suspension fork, Bolany. A nice cheap fork. I run 29er. Recently, when I inserted a gauge to test how much PSI I have to pump it based on my weight, all the air was released in a flash. So, I had to pump it again.

Based on my weight, I need to pump between 60-75 PSI. As all air was released, when I pumped to 75 PSI, the fork tubes did not move up, which meant they still lack air. So, I continued pumping until I reached 150 PSI, then the tubes moved up. I could not go beyond 150 PSI, as it's not taking effect on the pump gauge. So, I stopped at 150 PSI. Then, I released some air from the pump itself to 70 PSI based on my weight.

The fork is 120mm outside travel. But I see it is 110mm now.

My questions are:

1/ Is this normal that I had to pump until 150 PSI for the fork to be fully pumped after all air was released?

2/ What would happen if I continuously pumped the fork beyond 150 PSI? Like I said, the gauge indicator seems stopped at 150 PSI. Does this mean the fork automatically support until 150 PSI?

3/ As I see the outer travel is 110mm when it should be 120mm if pumped to the max. is this normal? I removed air to 70 PSI, that's the reason?

Thanks

Not familiar with that fork, but is it possible there is a 'spring' air chamber and a 'damping' air chamber? I had an RST air fork that you could overinflate the damping chamber and it would sort of act as the spring. Are there two places to add air or only one?

You need a shock pump. A regular pump or gauge wont work for suspension.

Well, I found the brand, at least. It's a new Chinese import from Amazon, with no reviews. I guess that means you @alij2018 are the guinea pig. The product page says there's a year warranty but also "Choose Us You'll Get A Surprise!" Damping is not mentioned in the description, but it has a lockout, which seems like a good suspect for a fork that isn't traveling.

It that case, probably a bad seal. Fork needs a rebuild. Finding a seal kit and service manual for this might be tough.
