My first road ride on fixie
Bike by lake loop
Took out the bike today and wow whst a change from road bike. Bike smooth fast but kegs were toast hills were tough need to adjust a few things

I rode fixed an 18 miles road route 5 days this week. When I first started riding fixed, I couldn't do that route on consecutive days. At first I had to be sure the day was cool with little wind. A few changes made it more doable, clip in pedals vs toe clips, lighter wheels and low rolling resistance tires. My route is selected to minimize large long hills but still has some decent climbs. I rode it backwards yesterday and it was significantly more difficult and my legs are feeling it today. I just did it to mix things up a bit since good routes for riding fixed are limited here in western Missouri.

Loooove riding fixed on the road. Only have 10 rides in this year but hoping to get up to at least 4 a week. I do mix it up with igh and geared bikes, but a 15+ on a fixed gear with a nice ratio and little wind can be great.
