yes, it's very nicely done on this bike. That rules out Falcon from the era that I worked on them, mid-'70s to early '80s.

This bike is very nice, the only discordant thing I noticed was that they seemed have under-filled the bb cable sling a bit.

I don't think extensive braze ons really caught on until the late '70s, and it wouldn't surprise me to see a bike from the early '80s that only had bb slings and a cable stop on the rear dropout. Top tube housing guides, dt shifter bosses, and bosses for a DT bottle cage were pretty common by 1980, but maybe not from U.K. builders or old-timers elsewhere

last time I saw a seat stay brazed like that it was a Custom Columbus Air frame. So this could be a custom possibly..my .02 cents.

Really, this thread should have been in C&V, not in the appraisals forum. It's much too interesting for this forum.

I agree, that's such a nice frame. If the OP wants me to move it, I can

Intriguing thread. As I read early on, I suspected Italian, the reference work is very good here. Bravo.
Headbadge hole placement may help provide a final identity.

A builder's work to look out for in any number of brands... Just hope one turns up and I can prevail as it flies under the radar.

Thanks very much for the update.

Wonderful to see its moving right along.

Perhaps you can make a ride report when you have an opportunity to take it for that first test spin...
