Cannondale Tandem
Asking $1600
Looking to ride with your spouse, kids or grandkids? Here’s a very solid and stable tandem. My wife and I rode it from the NC mountains to the coast and it’s a great riding bike. It’s a 9 speed with a triple crank and shifts well with a wide range of gearing. We were able to ease up hills and zoom on the flats. We’ve even used it on paved trails and it maneuvered well.
I would estimate the size as a Large/Medium front and Medium/Small rear. I’m 6’+ and she’s 5’2” and it was a good fit for us. There’s plenty of opportunity to make it fit various sizes with adjustments.
The paint is metallic blue and we’re the second owners. The paint has some scratches from normal use. The original owners had a bike shop, rode with their kids and took good care of it.
Here are some details:
Aluminum frame and chromoly fork
Truvativ cranks 175 front and 170 rear
Triple crank 52/42/30
Ultegra shifter, 105 front derailleur and Deore XT rear derailleur
New chain and new 12/36 Shimano cassette
Shifter and brake cables recently replaced
Avid mechanical disc brakes with huge rotors
Thomson elite front seat post with lots of additional height if needed
Thud buster rear seat post for ride comfort
Mavic 719 alloy clincher wheels with 40 spokes front and rear
New Vittoria Rubino Pro 28 tires
44 mm bars to help with stability
Rear telescopic bar with lots of adjustability
Bottle cages included
No pedals nor saddles included
I can deliver it if it’s no more than a day trip from Charlotte, NC.
I can also deliver it for a fee for a longer trip.
