Pointer bicycle

I was going to post this in the Commuter forum, but thought it might be better here.

I always look at Craigslist for bikes. Not that I want to start a collection, I just like to look. I got home this afternoon, and found this listed:

Pointer Bicycle

I'm really interested in looking at this one. In fact, I sent an email to see if I could look at it. The 3 speed might not be enough for my hills, but it looks like it has a nice frame. Anyone have any experience or knowledge of Pointer bicycles?

Pointer is a lesser-known Dutch brand, that's been around for a few decades. Not the most exciting bikes, bread and butter stuff, but take care of then them and they'll last the rest of your life.

Pointer.

I did find the website, but I can't find much information on older models. It looks like it might be a neat bike to fix up and ride. They haven't emailed back, but if they do, I think I'll go look at it. Can't hurt to look!

Not often one encounters a skirtguard on a gents model.

Is this fairly common in Olandia @non-fixie?

They're called 'coat protectors', and they were more or less standard issue on all but the sportiest bikes.
