Cadence monitor question

Greetings,

I have Sunny Health indoor bike. Comes with the wired cadence monitor. Is there a way to connect bluetooth to it, so that I can connect to the cycling apps on my phone. I now I can buy BT sensor and install separately, but maybe there is a way to connect the existing sensor somehow to the bluetooth???

Thanks

Are you asking if you could attach a bluetooth transmitter to the existing sensor?

Yes! That's what I ideally would like to do. There is a wire going from the sensor to the monitor. If there was a way to connect it to the BT transmitter instead so that I can display the results on my phone.

I assume if you were in the habit of wiring up microprocessors you wouldn't ask the question, so I'm pretty sure the answer is that there is no existing product like this.

I have a Wahoo cadence sensor that talks BT and is mounted with a rubber o-ring so you can put it on your crank. I suggest something like that.

Thanks! I guess that answers my question. Just wanted to see if there is BT adapter as an add-on option some of those bikes.

I think your best bet is something like the Wahoo RPM. Stick it on one crankarm, and connect it to your phone. Easy peasy.
