Going Back to MD Anderson

Well tomorrow we go back tomorrow. Tuesday we do scans for the gut. (The Leiomayosarcoma) . That was the first cancer I had and it was removed. As some of you know I spent 6 weeks in July and August and had 6 chemo treatments and 30 radiation treatments for Adenocarcinoma (lung cancer) that was found on the scan in June. We do scans Tuesday and see the doctor on Wednesday. Friday I get a large dose of chemo that I am told is really gonna make me sick to chase any rogue cells from the lung cancer. Three weeks later I get the big chemo blast again. Then we wait. At least we can see how the lung is doing. This past week I've felt better than I have since I started all this. Hopefully we will get good news for a change. I read this forum every day and get a lot of inspiration from you people. So for the next few weeks my little computer will be a lot of my entertainment. Ride saf. Layton

Prayers for excellent results with your scans, tolerating the big dog chemo, and a quick return to enjoying life without well-meaning people poking sharp objects into you anymore ;-)

I'm new around this forum but not to bicycling or biking. I also ride a two-wheeled BMW for fun. Hope you're back to riding both soon!

Best regards, Mark

My heart goes out to you...this is so unfair. But if you could ride 5 weeks into your last 6 week treatment, perhaps this won't be as tough on you as on others. I am hoping for the best. From previous posts it sounds like you have a loving, supportive wife, that counts for a lot. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Sounds like you have a bit of tough sledding ahead, but are well prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Go for it!!!

Wishing you many more rides.
