Doping

My view on doping in professional cycling:

Team Sky and the majority of the other teams are still doping. Nothing has changed.

And because of this Lance should have his TDF wins re Instated. I’m not even a big Lance person. But let’s quit fooling each other. Doping still exists.

I have none but my opinion is they are still using performance enhancers.

Yes

but we all knew Postal was doping. It took a long time to prove it.

You also must realize how corrupt Europe and the UCI are compared to the US of A

The TdF is over for another year so the Nastycar and Podcast Guy's fans come out to play.

I'd be willing to believe Froome is doping, if there was any proof.
For now I just go with the theory that he's simply better than anyone else at 3 week tours. He's not Superman though, he was (to me) clearly not "in shape" to win the TDF this year after a kick ass performance in the Giro.
But he did podium.

Froome is great. Yes he is. I wonder if his inhaler issue made it more difficult for him to take some extra junk for the 2018 TDF ?

obviously he was a giant target for drug testing

I don't know enough about the inhaler/asthma/TUE thing to really have an educated conversation about it, but Lance was also the most tested guy when he was winning and they didn't catch him - until they did.
Still, I give Froome the benefit of the doubt. It's only fair, as far as I'm concerned. I'm not a big fan of his but he's a great athlete.
He has a great team too - they're able to crush anyone on most climbing stages and until a team comes up with a way to beat them at their own game, Team Sky will continue to win.

That LA is banned from cycling for life ... can't even complete in an Ironman event, pretty much tells you he's being punished for the sins of all pro cyclists-- apparently before and after.

They have to keep up appearances. But you are correct. The genie's out of the bottle, and he's not going back.

One more thing, fixed it for you.

His podcasts are rather interesting (he gives details about the TDF that the average follower may not know.

I recommend listening to some some of them just for the learning the sport aspect of it.

One has been proven. The other (if it is even happening) hasn't. Kind of matters.

Agreed. Also, when you compare Froome's victories, which are often by less than a minute to Armstrong's which were often by 5 or more minutes it certainly makes it seem like the playing field is far more even today. Keep in mind that Armstrong wasn't some genetic freak, He was good, but no one ever thought he had the potential to be an elite grand tour rider, let alone the best ever.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out Froome is doping but it isn't blatantly obvious as it was with Armstrong.

Froome - yup
Wiggins - yup
Contador - yup
Lance - yep
Ullrich - yep
Indurain - yep

Evans, Sastre - no evidence.
Merckx - yep
Thevenet - yep
Lemond - likely due to being shot and skin evidence.

When 9/10 used PEDs on record, I think it is true they are generally used by the winners.

So, someone who was caught cheating should not be punished because you think other people might also be cheating?
That's an odd sense of justice you have there.

That argument is prevalent in California death row. CA does not execute death row prisoners, because it would be unfair because no-one else was executed.
It certainly isn't odd - at least in CA.

Guess I was unfair as he was never found to be a PED user during racing. It is thought he just died from off competition recreational PED use.
So I guess, technically he was a non PED at the time user.
