Those pesky car drivers

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Those pesky car drivers

So here's true story.

My mother in law was driving to the store accompanied by my wife. At some point she needed to turn right so she signaled her intention. At the same time the car passed cyclist (PCad it was Cervelo). She did not want to cut him off as he clearly did not have enough time to stop. So she stopped the car and let cyclist pass on the right side. Now guess what, cyclist passed safely on the right side then stopped and start yelling and showing fingers.

I feel sorry that I was not in the car at that time

If people here pull to a stop at an intersection and accidentally cover up even an inch of the bike lane and a cyclist is coming, they'll immediately back up and apologise.
