Front Derailleur Cable Routing Help (EXT)
I am building my first bike, a Gunnar frame and just installed the front derailleur and not sure this cable is routed correctly.
Seems to be rubbing against the bottom of frame slightly and not sure it is correct.
Is this normal, or should I change this, if so any suggestions.

Did you try flipping around that BB guide? Sometimes there is a longer finger on one side
There are a few versions of this guide, here is a vendor that I have used and been very happy with their products. They are in France but was pretty quick on the shipping and fairly priced

On one of my bikes the guide is short like that too. I just cut a piece of plastic/inner tube and slid it under the short guide so the cable doesn't rub the BB.
I have a new guide around here somewhere, just too lazy to change it out.

I don't think you can flip that one around. Then the rear derailleur cable guide will be on the wrong side of the BB and you need to make sure the cable clears the tire.

I can see it just barely touches but hate the thought of rubbing the paint off that area.

I like jideta's idea; I think a piece of the polyethylene from a milk jug would be ideal, it is tough and slick, and comes free with the milk.
