Hello from New England

Hello, living in RI and bought my first bike in about 12yrs. I thought for sure I woupd be having a rough time but not at all. I'm finding going for a ride to be more enjoyable than ever and looking to live healthier. All this started when I went to buy a bicycle for my daughter. So for myself I'm looking to connect with others. Would be nice to hear from others in the North East of the United States.

Have a great day everyone.

Lots of great bike paths in RI. Be sure to get out and ride the Blackstone River Path, Washington Secondary Path, and my favorite, the East Bay Bike Path.

Good to have you join us. BF has become another layer of bicycle enjoyment. I live in south-coastal Delaware and the New England area is one I would like to do some 2 wheeled touring.

If you ever need a friend or a few to get out with, drop me a line! I was up in your neck of the woods last weekend (based on your comment on my post)- Grabbed some coffee in Manville with a bike friend! What sort of bike did you get?

Just watch out for catching the (highly predictable) wind wrong on the East Bay... I've been really bad about it lately and wind up doing the ride both ways INTO the wind (yesterday was particularly bad!)

Thank you. Your offer sounds good. I'm in the Northern part of RI. Feel free to send me a message. I discovered in Meetup last week a group of bicyclists that get together in Providence. I have not met any of the people yet though.

Where in Providence do you enjoy starting your ride? I have never ridden through it on my bike. Just my car lol.

What days do you tend to go on your ride?

I always start my rides from home- I try to avoid driving to ride my bike. I quit my job earlier this year so I've been riding lots of weird days/times but I should be starting a new one soon (I've got a couple of offers and have to decide...) so I'll be limiting the long rambly ones to the weekend!
