Passed by a few minutes after. Deceased cyclist face down in the dirt above curbside.

Pretzeled crankset lying middle of road.

Hit and run. They caught the bastard up at SFU just east of bus loop.

Condolences to family and friends.

It's a savage, uncaring world out there. Be careful.

Let's just hope it's not the usual narrative: driver released pending further investigation which then takes up to a year before a nominal charge of "failing to remain" is filed. Gaglardi is a speedway for motorists, especially on the uphill side as there's no pullout for a radar trap like there is on the downhill side. And while the shoulder is generally wide, a lot of motorists take that to mean they can still buzz the white line.
