Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The abbreviation of this forum's title became associated with the limited edition IROs you asked about in another thread, because the group buy to get such frames made was organized right here.

BFSSFG means get ready to have some of the worst people ever berate, harass, detract, devalue, and waste most things that have a true place on this section of bikeforums.

People didn't leave because they found other things to do, they got tired of the same whiny, lame-assed, knee-jerk crap that permeates the majority of this forum section like the stink in a morgue when the AC craps out.

Sometimes people help - but it is often buried is a sea of bandanas and unrelated text.

want helpful/genuine info on basics? seek out posts that are pre-2006.
the rest of it is toilet paper in binary form.

We could make this into an acronym thread.

EAI- Euro Asia Imports
MKS- Mikashima (I assume the kanji is three parts Mi-Ka-Shima)

While the above is quite true of BFSSFG, part of the charm of this place is that sometimes some very funny stuff gets posted, and that makes it all worthwhile. Also sometimes there is some good info too, but that's just gravy compared to the entertainment value...
