No Illegal Sales
This thread *may* have been started with good intentions but it almost immediately turned into an illegal, open air For Sale thread, illegal in the sense that it violates ALL of the forum guidelines on sales. To all the users who participated illegally in this thread allow me to refresh your memory of the most pertinent guidelines . . . .
• Sales are allowed only by users with PAID, premium memberships.
• WTB offers are allowed only by users with PAID, premium memberships.
• ALL sales transactions must be confined to the For Sale subform ONLY.
There are other sales rules that exist but the above are my main focus here. Most of you guys in this thread were not newbies so you can't claim ignorance of the rules. We are very serious about these sales regulations, all of them, because we're determined to not allow these forums to turn into a free version of craigslist or eBay, along with all the chaos and disruption that goes along with a marketplace.
Keep in mind that sales were originally instituted only as a privilege to our devoted members, we do NOT want this privilege extended to strangers flocking here for the sole purpose of scoring a good deal. THIS IS A DISCUSSION FORUM, NOT A MARKETPLACE. If you are a regular member and wish to sell a cycling item please be courteous enough to purchase a premium membership before making a sales offer. It's just a modest fee to help keep the riffraff out of these forums we all cherish.
Please remember - Sales are a privilege, not a right. They can be revoked. Please help to keep these forums a pleasant environment by reporting suspected illegal sales. Thank you!
