What's a good budget goggles?
I wear goggles while commuting as I ride an ebike that goes fast, and especially in the winter the
wind gets a bit much otherwise. I got a cheap pair ($16) off Ebay, as paying $100+ for foam and plastic seemed a bit outrageous, especially as I wasn't sure how they'd work out etc. They worked good, but after only about a year now the foam is deteriorating and they're not protecting as well as they did. So I need a new pair and the question now is whether to get another cheap pair or spring for a more expensive option. I don't mind putting the money in if they'll last and be more comfortable e.t.c, but if they're just gonna fall apart in a year also, I'll go with another cheap one.
So the question is, are more expensive goggles worth it? Do they last? More comfortable e.t.c? Or are you just paying for the name?
Any suggestions? (I need ones that will fit over my fairly wide glasses. My current ones fit ok, just have to bend them a bit to fit them on, then they're fine. Forgot to check if they fit over glasses before ordering. )
Thanks.

maybe you can repair/patch the missing foam. I just saw that some brands make replacement foam
also, home improvement stores sell strips of foam insulation with sticky back on one side. It's in the window weatherstripping isle. it's meant for insulating gaps around widows & doors. it comes in different widths & thicknesses. maybe you can cut off pieces that match the voids?

I bought Bolle goggles but haven't used them as much as you have. I wound up removing the air filter foam for better ventilation Bolle Mojo Snow Goggles (Shiny Black, Clear) $18.48

Oh, that's a good idea to replace the foam, although, it's the foam around the sides that's deteriorating , not the foam that rests on your face. So I might lose all ventilation if I cover that with foam that's sticky on one side. Could be worth a try tho.

I usually Google for free... Sometimes even Googling for Goggles.
I don't use goggles on the bike, but ski goggles regularly show up at the local thrift stores, usually quite cheap. Sometimes clear, sometimes tinted. Some with foam, some with a soft plastic surround.
I wear glasses so it can be tricky to find a set that fits well over the glasses.

How long have you had the 100% ones? 75 fits into the "way too much for plastic and foam" category, but if they last it could be worth it. One pair of those comes out cheaper in the long run if it lasts, say 10 years, vs needing a new $16 one every year over those same 10 years.

40 isn't bad although it seems those are vented a bit more than I might like.

Also the venting in good thing, simple design on the Scotts and keeps them from fogging up
