Time to add another shot. Rode the Ebbetts Pass Century yesterday, lots of open roads, this was on Hwy 4 on the way to Alpine Lake

eastern Hokkaido in Japan: a dedicated cycling road called "Okhotsk" that goes along the coast for 40 km or so. Used to be a railroad track. Was not too windy when we were there.
There are some big hills around here, just not in the photo, not on the sea coast. Rode one a couple days later which was about 800m.

This picture is a few months old, but haven't seen this thread in the front page recently to post it. It's not empty in this shot, but it was when I first saw it and was inclined to take the picture. Skyline Drive close to the Front Royal entrance (going back downhill).
