I have no plans to change out the pedals. I am a runner more than a cyclist, so the bike is for easy cross training rides, and just getting around town.

2011 Specialized Sirrus Sport in Sparks (Reno). NV
I removed the kick stand, bottle holder, and heavy duty tubes to lighten the bike. Running Bontrager Hard Case Lite 32c w/liners.
The only other change I would make would be a carbon fiber front fork.
In June I went to 23/25C Roubaix Armadillo Elite tires. Like the new size much better.
Also removed the wheel reflectors. I'm kewl now.

I look at it from its Greek origin as a symbol for The Incessant Motion of the Universe. Actually that symbol goes back a lot further than the Greeks.

Are you sure the owner wasn't having a pee behind the bushes when you took the bike ?

Usually if it's on the side of the road its for the garbage. And my mom noticed it there for a few weeks before I noticed it. It was also at a foreclosed house so I'm pretty sure nobody wanted it.

Specialized Sirrus Sport Pro fresh from the bike shop yesterday afternoon. I have since removed the reflectors because that is apparently what the cool kids do..
Much nicer to ride than a Citibike, surprisingly

Does this qualify as a Hybrid? My 1x10 creation built on an alum CX frame with carbon fork and Shimano MTB drivetrain.

Q: do you not use a chain catcher of some sort up front? I have a 1x9 also. The crank has a bash guard on the outside but the chain sometimes fell on the inside on bumps so I added a K-Edge Cross Catcher.

The plastic wheel reflectors don't do a good job of reflecting, imbalance the wheel, and put undue stress on spokes which will manifest as problems down the road... there are better reflective materials on the market and they are only put there due to governmental safety requirements.
Nice bike too.
