$0.99 tubes?!

I've been looking for a supplier of inexpensive tubes, but something about this price scares me. Anyone have experience with these? Or this site?

https://store.icyclesusa.com/irc-bike...rce=googlebase

Should I just go for it?

I seem to have more bad luck with inexpensive tubes.

I usually shoot for some middle of the road tube. I just bought some off VO for $4 each. (Please don't tell me they are the same as these.. )

But seriously... I go with a top of the line tire, so I'm not afraid to spend more on tubes.

Have you ever been out on a cold, rainy day and had a flat? Better quality tires and tubes reduce the frequency of this event.

I've bought from them just fine, but not used those tubes. Sort of can't go that wrong... but maybe you can.

Honestly for $10 I think it's worth a shot.

I myself am currently looking for a source for cheap tubes. I need 700x28 Presta. If anyone knows of a good supplier, let's hear it.

Cheap presta:

https://www.pricepoint.com/detail/174...--Set-of-5.htm

I've had mixed results with these. For the most part they've been OK, but I've had a couple of failures I blamed on the tube. You also never know what valve length you're going to get or whether or not it will be threaded.

I always buy thick walled inner tubes. Never had a flat from any of them except the one time I cut the valve stem pulling the valve through the rim hole. As far as normal thickness tubes I would have a problem with them regardless of price. Although I would be more ticked off with a flat from an expensive tube.

Even before I became a purveyor of tubes and tires, tubes are an item I won't scrimp on. Only takes one flat that could have been avoided, and the cheap tube already costs more in frustration and time lost than the $$ saved on the tube. Worse yet if you flat somewhere very inconvenient or dangerous (bad 'hood, busy road with little/no shoulder), just not worth it IMO.
