Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Deal or No Deal?

Is this a good deal for $150? It will need some maintenance done obviously, so I'm hesitant. What do you guys think?

Looks pretty good to me as long as there aren't any serious problems that don't show up in the picture. It's a pretty small frame - would it fit you?

Looks to be in decent condition. If you can do your own wrenching, then yes, deal. Otherwise, no.

I'm 5'4-5'4.5 with an inseam of about 30 in.
The ad says it is a 49 cm bike. From what I've read, it sounds like it would fit. What do you think? Too small?

That frame size sounds about right.

A drive side image would have been better. As long as the bike fits you and things like the brifters are still working well you should be good.

Good luck and cheers

Good deal as long as no obvious issues. I'd expect to put $50-100 into it for new tires, cables, housing, bar tape and saddle . Lower end of cost if you can do work yourself. But those are nice bikes
