My attempt to reorder my spot to downstream to BOC legend (and ill-advised bomber of Cambodia) nlerner has been properly disregarded by the current crapmaster.

Recent posts in this thread have reminded me that I have not adequately utilized my BA in Psychology. Can the entire list of former Crapmasters be verified? I'm considering a highly controlled, double-blind experiment that is in full compliance with APA standards for human studies.

I was never a Crapmaster. If you don't believe me, refer to rule 19.

Are those double blind studies something our old friend B. F. Skinner would approve of? I am not so sure this is an innate disregard as a learned one. Smiles, MH (also a BA in psych)

This whole BOC thing got started around the USPS Flat Rate box, so the cost is always around $20, regardless of the weight. The box frequently exceeds 25 pounds. FedEx might get a little pricey if they charge by the pound.

For the person who would like to add parts to the BOC, I am willing to make the most of two boxes and donate the remainder to a Washington DC area co-op. I think I'm second or third in line from now to receive the crap. @miamijim, please PM me if you'd like me to merge your crap with the other crap.

Well as the rules state, it should be the USPS one rate box, which I don't think FedEx would accept and would be more expensive. I would think we should stick to USPS. Do you still want in? (I would suppose if you put a box around the USPS box so the next guy can use it, it would work, but I advise against that as I think it will be cost prohibitive.)

I use USPS boxes all the time to ship by FedEx, they don't care as long as the travel bill is there's. I have a corporate rate which I'm guessing will cost me less than $10 in the US48. If that works for you, put me on line, worst case I'll send with USPS as plan B. Regardless, it will be in a USPS box so can be reused by the next. On another note, has anyone tried using Bike Flights? I know they switched to UPS and their rates are a bit more now.

As long as it is still in the one rate box, I can't see why this would be an issue. I will add you to the list. But if you do have any issues, let us know for future reference.

Good call. I know some people have bypassed the USPS all together with a handoff in person.

I was beginning to worry that the B.O.C. had somehow gotten lost - it wasn't there when I checked the mail while bringing kids home from school. But, no - the thud of joy had apparently required a second trip by the USPS, and it was waiting for me on the carport steps.

Here is the tease/reveal -

- and here is the take -

- a modest haul this time, but all useful to my nefarious plans. USAZorro, it goes out later this morning!

The misprinted BOC sticker may be worth a ton of money some day...

Wow..... I've let some bad cuts through some prints but I don't think I saw that one at all! You've definitely got yourself a unique decal.

Toe strap buttons! They go on the end of the toe strap to make it just a bit easier to snag when cinching them down on the fly. On fixed-gears, especially, they're awesome.

Of course, if you use a toe strap long enough for it to get a little floppy on the end, they work like a metronome at the bottom of each pedal stroke. The ALE button on the left pedal of my Mercian "ticks" each revolution when the rpms get high enough. I've decided it's a feature, not a bug.

As far as the misprinted decal goes, I thought the whole point of the B.O.C. was to celebrate the misplaced, mis-threaded, misaligned, mismatched and generally misfortunate bits in the workshop, so the decal works perfectly for that!

Had to rescue the thread from page 3.

The box landed today. I miss the old metal box from series 6.

Have taken some pictures, but will post all once I decide what stays and what gets added (and then play the Chinese puzzle of repacking it), before sending it on a cruel mission to the Arctic outskirts of Boston.
