Just acquired a transport. Have been keeping an eye out for a long frame for a little while. Not many dummys go up for sale used, besides I wasn't totally sure I wanted one and dropping almost a grand on something like that didn't sit well. A transport came up and cheap, so I grabbed it. So far it has been fun. The rear v brake instead of a discount is weired, as is the lack of a rear fender. The kickstand stinks, but oh well. I picked up a ursus kickstand for a different bike and will soon be swapping or getting another. That is one awesome kickstand.

I am 5'10" and have a 20" (lg) Transport. I think it would probably be fine for someone up to about 6' tall. The 20" is about right for me, and I think a 17" would definitely be too small for someone over 5'8-5'9-ish.

If anything, my gut feeling is that the Transport might run a touch small. I think the 20" would suit the majority of folks.
