I did get my birthday ride in, in and around Pebble Beach/Carmel/Monterey. It is a rather featureless, pedestrian place to ride, but sometimes one has to just buck up and play the cards they're dealt.

Congrats BBM. I gave up on birthdays myself as I've found no advantage in them after turning 21. I was stationed in Monterey at the Presidio from '86-'87. Alas I didn't throw a leg over a bicycle the whole time I was there. Rode my motorcycle a lot though.
