About 50 minutes around the house. Hit up some Strava segments.

0.99 IF. Felt good.

Relative I guess. It seems like there's always a handful of good guys pushing close to or above 5 w/kg. Fortunately (or un-?) we only have two races in my state that feature "real climbs" of 10+ minutes, but I'm way out of contention on those. Something I'd really like to change, but I'd have to do something drastically different weight or training wise (probably both).

Nice, balmy 74 degree dewpoint this morning. Got in 63 miles in 3:04. 235 ap and 270 np for 211 tss. Had a couple of three ten minute-ish efforts. Felt like I was pedaling in molasses.

Have a crit Wed. night and then an omnium this weekend. Gonna be a fun week I hope.

it's 9:30 and I'm just freed up but no action for me, between having to change tires for the trainer and the fact that I went from +1 TSB to -35 in one ride, I should probably just relax, even if i'm feeling up for an hour

It was a lot of fun. I'm nowhere near taking any KoM, but it does give me some good training. I've only been back on the bike for a month or so, so any riding is good training, but it's good to do some hard efforts.

Wow, very tired all day today. Logged my weekend races and ride, discovered I hit 115 CTL and -45 TSB, lowest since January.

I'm thinking another rest day is on order for tomorrow.

I ate cookies to shame myself into a recovery spin, and dawdled around for like 1.5hrs.

Any NorCal volunteers to show me around your local MTB scene?

I'll be based in Oakland, from the 5th through the 9th, then Tahoe until the 14th.

Planning on camping in Big Basin Redwoods SP on the 8th. A friend is a brewer at Half Moon Bay Brewery, so we plan to visit them and then camp. I'll probably ride at Purisma that day, and Annadel another day, but open after that.

I don't do the mountain bike, but can point in the direction of folks that do. Especially in the Auburn and Tahoe areas.

I don't do mtn bikes, but if you're still in the peninsula on the 10th, the Stahl Ride is a good Wednesday road ride (don't do it anymore since I have a job), 50-80 miles social but strong riders and enough climbing (4000 - 8000 ft) to get a solid threshold workout. And they sometimes throw in some dirt/gravel.

3hrs, high z1 on flat stuff and z3 on hills. Was light work but also enough to keep it fun. I feel like I got my mojo back!

Tuesday Night Worlds, Gaimon dropped me up the first hill, so did everyone else. Being 20 lbs heaver and 40 watts under last years ftp really is a bummer. Did hit a new all time peak power, but that doesn't mean much when you have nothing else.

also I'm officially in chill mode. Between now and mid Sept, my riding will like this on average:

Tues - track, or something else
Th - Post work 1.5 hr ride w friends, or something else
Weekend: One 3-5 hr ride

Instead, I will be hiking, swimming laps, body surfing/beach-going, playing ultimate frisbee, or doing something else. I do have a fair amount of motivation to stay somewhat fit and build up to be better next year, but we'll see.

Also I'm jogging tomorrow morning, which will probably suck.

I'm now in my second week back after spending 6 weeks of doing just basic riding while I waited for my shoulder to heal. The legs are coming back quickly, which is nice. I struggled some doing the Saturday hammer ride - legs were just tired - but I had little trouble getting through my intervals last night.

And none of you guys have FTP issues. CDR and I have FTP issues.

visiting in-laws, want to rent a bike but it's going to be hot as heck, ~100 everyday. if I do, it'll have to be some really early rides. or I may just go to spin classes lol good reminder of one reason why I'm glad we moved by to the northeast from the midwest

Why is it called sweet spot? It's the most annoying of the spots! It's too hard to feel good and too not hard to feel worth it.

Anyway I have to do that **** today.

We are moving to San Diego the middle of August and I have been thinking about activities other than cycling. I like your list although I had to look up ultimate frisbee. I have always talked about doing the La Jolla rough water swim but it never materialized. We lived in SD previously for 15 years.

Did 56 minutes last night. 20 mins at threshold with a short break, then "a bloc" up a hill for a minute, then another 10 mins tempo homeward bound. Short and fiery.

Did an hour easy this morning. Have the midweek crit tonight.
