minimal rolling resistance? How does a tube impact rolling resistance?
No mention of puncture resistance or whether it can be patched. Without that info, I wouldn't even consider it.

Very interesting, although going to wait for some reviews and tests before swapping out my Vredestein latex tubes (which do ride a slight bit better than the Conti Supersonics they replaced) with something like that.
The only downside I noticed running various superlight tubes is that you have to be really careful installing them lest you pinch them, but otherwise really light tubes are a very cost effective upgrade.

The main questions I would have is patching and how long does it hold air. Is it more than latex, but less than butyl? Or more than butyl?

I draw the line at 8 bucks for an inner tube. There are no lap premium prizes on my regular routes.

I like latex tubes for comfort over butyl. I'm not strong or fast enough to notice any difference in speed. But if the Schwalbe Aerothan tubes are better than latex I'd give 'em a try. Even as expensive as latex tubes are, they offer a cost effective and significant performance improvement for some cyclists.

If lighter and smaller (deflated) I’d use them as spares on the bike.

Panaracer makes a tube called the R'Air with a double secret latex/butyl blend that is supposed to be great. Looks similar to the Schwalbe tube.

tempting to just try out for S&Gs. If I needed tubes, I'd probably give at least one tube a try.

Very interesting. I am now running Tubolitos and like all the rotating weight they are saving. They also install really easy. Their contrasting color is part of what makes them easy to install, also the lack of friction against the tire.

They look neat, would love to see some real world with them and I would give them a try if given the opportunity but probably not till I see more about it, It could be cool or could be just expensive tubes.
